Cloud Nine has made such a big difference for so many animals, it’s getting hard to keep track of them all!  These pets, like millions of others across the nation, were scheduled to die in overcrowded shelters before Cloud Nine Rescue Flights literally came to their rescue and flew them out of these miserable shelters into new, happy lives.

For every one of these Cloud Nine “alumni” though, there are millions of other pets that aren’t as lucky and are killed in shelters before they’ve ever had the chance to know what it means to play fetch, cuddle with their humans after a long day, sleep indoors, and be cared for and loved as every pet deserves.

Giving all pets the chance to live full, healthy, happy lives is the goal of Cloud Nine Rescue Flights.  With the support of big and small donations to keep it flying, wonderful rescue organizations to care for the transported pets until they’re permanently adopted, and increased public education on the critical importance of spay and neuter, Cloud Nine flies closer to its goal with each transport.

Here is the latest on a few of the many pets that have found their forever families after their Cloud Nine Rescue Flight transport:

For Charlie’s new family, it was love at first sight! Charlie was featured on a T.V. news story about his January Cloud Nine transport.  His soon-to-be owners saw the story and knew Charlie belonged in their family (it must have been those irresistible, adorable ears!).  They arrived at the rescue organization the very next morning with leash and collar in hand ready to adopt Charlie!  Little did Charlie know when he boarded his Cloud Nine Rescue Flight that he’d be a T.V. star, or that he’d be with his new family in just a few hours!

Before her Cloud Nine Rescue Flight, Tasha only knew boredom, sadness, and loneliness.  Since her new family adopted her, Tasha gets to do all the things puppies love to do – romp in the snow, play with the kids, and take a long nap when she’s used up all that puppy energy!  Now Tasha always has a playmate and gets to grow up in a family that loves her.

Griff was on the December 12, 2009 Cloud Nine Rescue Flight transport.  His new parents were searching for a dog to adopt and when they saw Griff, they knew he was the one they’d been looking for!  Griff’s affectionate, playful personality won over his new parents and they brought him home on January 9, 2010.  Griff really rang in the new year in a big way:  with a new life in a wonderful family!

Since his adoption, Griff’s life keeps getting better and better!  Griff’s parents saw how much he loved playing with other dogs so they decided to adopt Tracy, too!  Tracy and Griff are both Cloud Nine alums and now they’re family, too!  What a happy ending for Griff and Tracy and for their wonderful parents who are going to have tons of fun with these pups!

Sarge has a forever home now, too!  No surprise he was adopted so fast – just look at that adorable mug!  Here’s Sarge getting ready to hop in the car with his Dad for the ride to his new home!

And finally, Sonny the cocker spaniel is thrilled to have been adopted by his new Mom, Pam!  Sonny and Pam bonded instantly and now Sonny gets all the hugs he wants!  And he has his very own spot on the sofa!
