Cloud Nine’s operations are completely free of charge to those being transported, as well as completely voluntary. Our pilot, Ted DuPuis, receives no monetary compensation for performing our flights, and in fact is a donor to Cloud Nine. Ted is a commercial single and multi engine land instrument rated pilot.
Cloud Nine has an annual goal of 40 flights per year. With average flights lasting 5-8 hours at a cost of over $200 per hour, this requires annual donations of approximately $50,000 to fund our operations. It is important to note that all funds donated to Cloud Nine go directly to flights. There are no salaries to pay and no overhead paid for by donations.
We need your donations to keep flying! Airplanes don’t pay for themselves, and these missions are very costly. Even a small donation goes a long way towards ensuring our continued operations. To meet our annual goals, Cloud Nine needs to receive approximately $1000 per week in donations.
How you can help:
- Donate AvGas – Are you an FBO or do you have an account with one? Our single greatest expense is AvGas. Donations of AvGas keep us flying!
- Donate animal crates – The more animal crates we have, the more different sorts of configurations we can meet for missions. Animals that get transported come in a variety of sizes. One size does not fit all!
- Monetary donations – Keep us flying!
As a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, all donations to Cloud Nine are tax deductible.
